About Sarah
Originally from Miami, Sarah began her dance training at the age of thirteen in Italy. She moved to Rome on a Scholarship to the DAF Dance Arts Faculty to specialize in contemporary studies. Since then she has trained with numerous international dance companies including NDT, Batsheva, ENB and Akram Khan. She has performed on stage around Europe from the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari to the Royal Opera House in London. Sarah recently completed her Master of Fine Arts in Dance Performance at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Her recent works range from Hidden, a short film to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in collaboration with non-profit shift.ms and Big Shaq’s Man don’t Dance music video, which has already accumulated over 30 million views on YouTube to touring with Transitions Dance Company across the UK and performing in Rigoletto at the Royal Opera House in London.
When teaching, Sarah focuses her attention on the innate human desire to move - a characteristic which comes alive in her Contemporary Dance Method (CDM) classes. To balance the technical, physical and creative aspects of her teaching, she teaches ballet and contemporary dance classes which are aimed at improving your dance technique while making you toned, improving your strength and keeping your muscles pliable. |
