Originally from Miami, Sarah began her dance training at the age of thirteen in Italy. She moved to Rome on a Scholarship to the DAF Dance Arts Faculty to specialize in contemporary studies with numerous international choreographers and companies including NDT, Batsheva, ENB and Akram Khan. After working for In and Out ballet for three years, she began working as a freelance dancer for the Opera Theatre of Cagliari and for Asmed Dance Company. Sarah is currently a member of the Transitions Dance Company at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she is also completing her MFA in Dance Performance. Her recent works in London include Hidden, a short film to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in collaboration with non-profit shift.ms, and Big Shaq’s Man don’t Dance music video, which has already accumulated over 30 million views on YouTube.
When teaching, Sarah focuses her attention on the innate human desire to move - a characteristic which comes alive in her Contemporary Dance Method (CDM) classes. To balance the technical, physical and creative aspects of her teaching, she teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz and barre classes which are aimed at making you toned and lean while working on improving your strength and keeping your muscles pliable, thus leaving you feeling stronger, toner and more flexible, and of course, sweaty!
